Dragonfly team
Dragonfly Team is one of the inaugural teams of the Chimera League of Youth Fencing. The goal of Chimera and Dragonfly is to introduce kids in 6th through 8th grade to fencing and three-squad team fencing. The dual meets (team games) and multi team tournaments will mirror the high school formats. While all the rules of fencing apply, the atmosphere will focus on the fun of fencing with friendly competition.

The Dragonfly Team details:
Registration & Equipment Fitting : Saturday, April 20th, 4:00 PM, South Mountain Fencing, Madison, NJ
Practices : Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45 PM to 6:25 PM, please arrive on time or early for practices and pickup.
1st Practice : Tuesday, April 23, 2024 / Last Practice Thursday, June 13, 2024 (8 weeks)
Dual Meets : TBA
Potential Tournament Date : Saturday, June 15, 2024
Required : AAUsports.org youth athlete membership extended ($22)

Required : shoes that will only be used for fencing, details at the fitting
Required : Fencing equipment rental OR your own fencing gear
Limited spots : 12 girls + 12 boys (4 fencers in each squad - sabre, foil, epee - per team)
Costs : $370 registration per child
$180 Equipment Rental - socks included OR $15 socks if no rental and using own equipment
$35 team shirt (optional)
